Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is hiring a Building Engineer to monitor, maintain, and repair building systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and safety systems. This on-site, mobile role travels to local facilities, starting around 7:30–8:30 am, with a company vehicle provided for work travel.

A clean driving record, background check, drug screen, and physical are required. The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, energy management, and adherence to CBRE policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or trade school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Meet physical requirements including lifting 50 lbs, stairs and ladders.
• Clean driving record; background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, plumbing, structural, and electrical systems.
• Ensure compliance with codes, safety regulations, and company directives.
• Maintain energy management and preventive maintenance programs for efficiency.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and emergency repairs as needed.
• Follow safety practices for hazardous materials storage and handling.
• Review building system inspections (fire, HVAC, plumbing) for proper operation.
• Share knowledge and coach others within the team.
