Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Mobile Building Engineer to support multiple facilities in the Indianapolis, IN area. The role focuses on maintenance, repairs, and preventive care for mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems, with substantial travel involved.

The engineer will review work orders, estimate time and materials, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance across sites while using company vehicles as needed. Experience in building operations is valued.

Qualifications

• Willing to travel extensively within the Indianapolis area.
• Must live within designated radius of the job site to reliably work schedule.
• Experience in building operations and facilities maintenance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and repairs to mechanical, industrial, plumbing, structural, life safety, and control systems.
• Review work orders, estimate time and materials for repairs, maintain supplies and tools.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment life.
• Review inspections of fire alarms, HVAC, plumbing to ensure proper operation.
• Ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and safety directives.
• Operate company-issued vehicles for daily tasks.
• Share knowledge and coach others within the function.
• Lead by example and uphold CBRE RISE values.
• Build consensus and influence stakeholders within teams.
• Work within broad guidelines and explain complex information.
