Job summary

Automotive Technology Experts (ATE) is seeking a Field Mechanic Technician for a mobile, field-based role. You will perform mechanical repairs, ADAS calibration, diagnostics, and programming at Crash Champions locations and partner sites.

The position emphasizes both mechanical work and advanced diagnostics with documentation per OEM guidelines. The role requires 4+ years of automotive experience, I-CAR PL3 and ASE certifications within specified timelines, and the ability to travel daily in a

Qualifications

• 4+ years automotive mechanical experience.
• I-CAR PL3 certification within 90 days of hire.
• ASE certification scheduled within 90 days of hire.
• Experience with ADAS, diagnostics, programming, and calibrations.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds; travel daily.
• Valid driver's license with safe driving record.
• Strong communication, both written and verbal.
• Proficient with OEM and aftermarket service information.

Responsibilities

• Deliver fast and accurate ATE service support to customers.
• Travel daily to assigned service locations in a company vehicle.
• Perform diagnostics, scanning, programming, calibrations, electrical diagnostics, and mechanical repairs.
• Perform suspension, brakes, HVAC, dash removal, air bag installation, and other mechanical repairs per OEM.
• Conduct engine, drivetrain, cooling system, and post collision mechanical inspections per OEM standards.
• Diagnose, replace, and initialize SRS components.
• Perform ADAS diagnostics and calibrations when trained and authorized.
• Document services per OEM guidelines and obtain approvals before execution.
• Test drives to verify system functionality and confirm repair outcomes.
• Provide excellent customer service and escalate concerns as needed.
• Complete repair documentation and final billing prior to leaving site.
• Meet productivity, quality, and compliance standards.
• Maintain tools, equipment, PPE, and vehicles.
