Job summary

Automotive Technology Experts (ATE) is seeking a Field Mechanic Technician to perform mechanical, diagnostic, programming, calibration, electrical, and safety tasks at Crash Champions locations and with partners. The role blends traditional mobile repair with ADAS calibration and requires travel in a company vehicle, strong diagnostics, and OEM-aligned documentation.

Applicants should have 4+ years of automotive mechanical experience, I-CAR PL3 and ASE certifications in process, and be prepared

Qualifications

• 4+ years of automotive mechanical experience; expanded mechanical and safety-critical scope beyond calibration-only positions.
• I-CAR PL3 certification within 90 days of hire; ASE certification scheduled within 90 days.
• Proficient with electrical diagnostic equipment and programming/calibration platforms.

Responsibilities

• Deliver fast and accurate service to internal and external customers.
• Travel daily to assigned service locations in a company-provided vehicle.
• Perform diagnostics, scanning, programming, calibrations, electrical diagnostics, and mechanical repairs as needed.
• Carry out suspension, brake, HVAC, dash removal, and air bag installation per OEM procedures.
• Conduct engine, drivetrain, cooling system, and post-collision mechanical inspections per OEM standards.
• Diagnose, replace, and initialize SRS components per OEM guidelines.
• Perform ADAS diagnostics/calibrations when trained and authorized.
• Document all services, scans, and final billing per MCP guidelines.
• Conduct test drives to verify system functionality and repair outcomes.
