Job summary

Cedar Healthcare Center is seeking a qualified Medication Aide to assist with safe medication administration and resident care. You’ll work with licensed nursing to document procedures and monitor residents for changes.

Shifts include Weekend Baylor, 7AM–7PM. Full-time benefits apply, and a sign-on bonus is offered to eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current nursing-assistant certification.
• Current Medication Aide certification.
• CPR certification.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Understanding of medical and pharmacological terminology.
• Minimum one year of healthcare experience or two years of medication-aide experience.

Responsibilities

• Administer permitted medications in accordance with physician orders, applicable requirements, and facility procedures.
• Observe residents for changes in condition or adverse reactions.
• Accurately document medication administration.
• Follow written and verbal medication-management instructions.
• Obtain vital signs and complete permitted medication-related tasks.
• Maintain safe and secure medication storage.
• Stock medication carts and appropriately handle discontinued medications.
• Communicate resident concerns promptly to licensed nursing staff.
• Assist with resident-care duties as assigned and within your role.

Compensation:

$23 - $28, based on experience + Baylor pay and full-time modified compensation options

Sign On Bonus:

Full-Time $2,500 | Part-time $1,750

About the Role

As an MNA, you'll work alongside our licensed nursing team to support safe medication administration and quality resident care.

You’ll administer permitted medications under the supervision of licensed nursing staff, accurately document medication administration, observe residents for changes or reactions, and communicate concerns promptly.
