Job summary

Under general direction, supervises assignments within the laboratory and acts as a resource to the laboratory.

Job responsibilities include scheduling, planning, and supervising staff; ensuring daily workflow follows procedures; assisting leadership on medium to high complexity projects; performing a full range of laboratory tests; interpreting reports for physicians; escalating abnormal results; operating and maintaining instruments; and participating in quality control and staff education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience and education.
• Two years' technical experience in a laboratory setting.

Responsibilities

• Schedules, plans, delegates and supervises assignments.
• Performs a full range of laboratory tests from simple blood tests to more complex tests.
• Interprets test reports and communicates findings to physicians.
• Operates complex electronic equipment, computers and precision instruments.
