Overland Park Regional Medical Center is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) to perform a range of laboratory tests across hematology, chemistry, microbiology, serology, and blood bank. The role emphasizes accuracy, quality control, and patient-focused results.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in laboratory science and ASCP/CLS/MLS certification or equivalent, with registry/certification obtainable within 1 year of hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in laboratory science or related field is required.
• MT (ASCP), CLS (NCA), MLS (ASCP) or equivalent certification or eligible.
• Registry/certification must be obtained within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform chemical, bacteriological, serological, and microscopic procedures in one or more laboratory sections.
• Produce accurate results in hematology, serology, chemistry, blood bank, coagulation, urinalysis, microbiology and other areas as designated.
• Maintain quality results by running standards and controls, calibrating equipment, and monitoring quality control measures.
