Qualifications

• Demonstrated competency in phlebotomy where applicable.
• Foreign-educated candidates require credential evaluation.
• For certain specialties, one year of experience in the discipline is required.
• Preferred certifications include MLS/MT or categorical credentials (ASCP, AMT, HEW, AAB).
• Knowledge of specimen requirements and medical terminology; experience with phlebotomy and specimen processing is advantageous.
