Job summary

Google is seeking an ASIC Design Verification Engineer for ML workloads in Sunnyvale, CA. You will shape AI/ML hardware acceleration by evaluating TPU architecture and verifying complex digital designs, contributing to high-performance silicon for Google's AI products.

You will collaborate with design and software teams to ensure correct functionality, scalability, and integration of verification environments and test plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience with industry-standard tools, languages and methodologies relevant to the development of silicon-based ICs and chips.
• Experience with SystemVerilog (e.g., SystemVerilog Assertions or functional coverage).

Responsibilities

• Plan the verification of digital design blocks by understanding the design specification and interacting with design engineers to identify important verification scenarios.
• Create and enhance constrained-random verification environments using SystemVerilog and Universal Verification Methodology (UVM), or verify designs with SVA and industry leading formal tools.
• Identify and write all types of coverage measures for stimulus and corner-cases.
• Debug tests with design engineers to deliver functionally correct design blocks.
• Close coverage measures to identify verification holes and to show progress towards tape-out.
