AV’s LEAP group within the MacCready Works division seeks a Machine Learning Engineer to develop computer vision capabilities for defense and commercial applications, including object detection, localization, and tracking. The role spans requirements, design, prototyping, testing, and validation, with on-site support for fielded systems and travel domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science/Engineering/Math/Physics with 2+ years in ML/CV.
• 2-5 years of relevant computer vision experience.
• Familiarity with Python and C/C++.
• Proficiency with PyTorch.
• Proficiency with OpenCV, scikit-learn, and pandas.
• Familiarity with Linux.
• Familiarity with Nvidia Tools (CUDA, JetPack, TensorRT) and deploying to Nvidia GPUs.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex systems and optimize algorithms.
• Ability to perform exploratory data analysis and visualize large datasets.

Responsabilités

• Support development of CV/ML algorithms for real-time ATR on various sensor platforms.
• Perform data science tasks to inform data collection, labeling, and training of DL models.
• Analyze ML algorithms and rank by success probability on new data.
• Set objectives and metrics; develop models to meet them.
• Write and test software to integrate ML algorithms into aircraft or other systems.
• Other duties as assigned.
