Job summary

Applied Industrial Technologies in Norwood, MA seeks an entry-level engineer split between Mitsubishi Automation Specialist and Controls Engineer roles. You will support sales and customers with product selection, training, and application questions, while also designing, programming, and testing systems around Mitsubishi Electric products.

You’ll work under senior engineers, assist with FAT/startup, read electrical schematics, and gain hands-on experience with MELSEC, GOT HMIs, and AutoCAD

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, controls, automation, mechatronics, or related field.
• 0–2 years in industrial automation, controls, or related field or internships count.
• Basic PLC programming concepts (ladder logic) and ability to read schematics.
• Strong attention to detail, communication with customers and colleagues.
• Willingness to learn and take direction.

Responsibilities

• Mitsubishi Automation Specialist duties: assist sales, support product selection, prepare demos and training.
• Support quotations for panels, cables, turnkey systems, and programming services.
• Provide first-line technical support and escalate complex issues.
• Stay current on Mitsubishi products and contribute to documentation.
• Controls Engineer duties: program, configure, test Mitsubishi PLCs and GOT HMIs; develop schematics and BOMs.
• Assist with FAT, startup, commissioning, and project status updates.
