Applied Industrial Technologies is seeking an Automation Specialist to support customers, field sales, and engineering with technical support, feasibility studies, and pre-sales activities focused on Mitsubishi, Pilz, and actuators. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical field is required.
• Knowledge of industrial automation products is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support and coordinate training classes both in house and onsite.
• Assist instructor as required.
• Develop skills to become instructor.
• Accept inbound customer and sales inquiries on product selection from the sales team.
• Accept and fulfill inbound quote support requests from customer and sales staff.
• Pre-sales engineering/technical support including product selection and cross-referencing.
• Develop, set up and test application studies.
• Assist field sales staff with onsite technical demos.
• Perform onsite troubleshooting and warranty support as required.
• Coordinate and assure completeness of ACS event calendar for the assigned products.
• Develop rapport with customers as technical, competent resource for answering and delivering solutions.
• Participate in activities such as specific training programs aimed at developing product and selling skills.
• Special Projects - Develop and coordinate as directed.
