Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Mission Software Engineer to join the Imaging Interfaces team. You will own fielded imaging systems, triage issues end-to-end, and serve as a technical representative for integrations with customers and external teams.

The role requires strong Python and C++ skills, extensive Linux experience, and the ability to diagnose across system boundaries. Travel ~15% and eligibility for U.S. Secret clearance are expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of production-grade software development experience.
• Strong Python and C++ skills; able to work in either.
• 3+ years Linux-based or bare-metal environments.
• Ability to diagnose across boundaries (networking, services, hardware).
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Willingness to travel ~15% for field testing.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own fielded system success by triaging, diagnosing, and driving resolution across the stack.
• Build and maintain modular production services that run on edge devices.
• Support field operations by interfacing with field operators and customers.
• Represent the team externally as a subject matter expert in integrations with products and teams.
• Maintain end-to-end system understanding across hardware, firmware, networking, and software.
• Collaborate across firmware, hardware, and platform engineers to deliver complex functionality.
