Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Mission Software Engineer to join the Imaging Interfaces team. You will own fielded systems, triage issues across the full stack, and serve as a technical representative in integrations with external teams and customers.

The role emphasizes end-to-end software ownership, deploying services on edge devices, and collaborating with hardware, firmware, and platform engineers in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software development with meaningful production responsibility
• Strong Python and C++ skills, able to work in either language
• 3+ years in Linux-based environments, including bare-metal hardware
• Ability to diagnose across system boundaries (networking, services, hardware)
• Strong written and verbal communication, able to explain technical problems to non-technical audiences
• Willingness to travel ~15% for field testing and integrations
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearance

Responsibilities

• Own fielded system success: triage, diagnose, and drive resolution across code, firmware, network, and hardware.
• Build and maintain production services: develop modular services for edge devices in austere environments, with reliability and observability.
• Support field operations: diagnose issues with field operators and deployed hardware, communicating clearly under pressure.
• Represent the team externally: engage in integrations with other products and teams, credible across the full stack.
• Maintain end-to-end system understanding: gain fluency across hardware, firmware, networking, and software to optimize interactions.
• Collaborate across teams: plan, build, and test complex functionality with firmware, hardware, and platform engineers
