Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development with production responsibility.
• Strong Python and C++ skills; able to work effectively in either language.
• 5+ years in Linux-based environments, including bare-metal hardware.
• Able to diagnose and resolve issues across system boundaries without full visibility.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to explain technical problems to non-technical audiences.
• Willingness to travel approximately 15% for field testing and customer integrations.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own fielded system health and uptime, triage and drive resolution across code, firmware, network and hardware.
• Build and extend production services running on edge compute devices in austere environments; ensure reliability and observability.
• Support field operations by diagnosing and resolving issues with deployed hardware; communicate clearly under pressure.
• Represent the team externally; speak credibly across the full system stack in integrations with products and teams.
• Maintain end-to-end system understanding across hardware, firmware, networking, and software; optimize interactions and graceful degradation.
• Collaborate across firmware, hardware, and platform engineers to plan, build, and test complex functionality.
