Job summary

Anduril Industries in Lexington, MA, seeks a Mission Software Engineer for the Imaging Interfaces team. You will own fielded system health, triage issues end-to-end, and serve as a technical representative in external integrations with customers.

The role spans gRPC services, time-sync issues on deployed devices, and traveling for customer integrations. You will work across hardware, firmware, and software to keep systems alive in austere environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development with production responsibility.
• Strong Python and C++ skills; able to work in either language.
• 5+ years in Linux-based environments, including bare-metal hardware.
• Ability to diagnose issues across system boundaries without full visibility.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to explain technical problems clearly.
• Willingness to travel ~15% for field testing/integrations.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own fielded system health and uptime; triage, diagnose, and drive resolution across the stack.
• Build and maintain modular production services that run on edge devices.
• Support field operations with direct operator interactions and issue resolution.
• Represent the team in external integrations; communicate credibly across the system stack.
• Maintain end-to-end understanding of hardware, firmware, networking, and software.
• Collaborate with firmware, hardware, and platform engineers across teams.
