Job summary

Axon is seeking an embedded Field Engineer to own customer outcomes within strategic accounts, delivering end-to-end deployments onsite and ensuring adoption across agency workflows. You’ll combine technical leadership with operational rigor, building trusted relationships with agency leadership and delivering production-ready solutions.

You will maintain a consistent onsite presence (3–4 days/week), measure impact through adoption metrics, and partner with Sales on long-term account strategy

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing technical roles or program management.
• Background in operational transformation or complex deployments.
• Typically 8+ years of varied experience.

Responsibilities

• Discover agency problems onsite and translate them into buildable, compliant solutions tied to mission outcomes.
• Design and ship working tools on Axon's platform: AI agents, workflows, automations, integrations, and data pipelines.
• Build with Axon products, configure, integrate DEMS, Fusus, AI Era, Records, and related systems in the agency environment.
• Iterate in the field until adoption sticks, then document patterns for reuse across accounts.
• Apply responsible innovation guardrails – CJIS, privacy – in every build. Ship working software, not slideware.
• Troubleshoot onsite and coordinate root-cause resolution across Product, Engineering, Support, and Services when builds or integrations break.
