Job summary

STR is seeking a Mission Engineer (Full Stack) in the United States to design, develop, and deploy software for defense and national security missions. You will lead software teams, manage customer relationships, and ensure the delivered product meets high standards of quality, reliability, and performance in high-security environments.

You will bring expertise in modern frameworks, be adept at integrating APIs, and possess experience in DoD/IC missions.

Qualifications

BS in Computer Science or related technical field with at least 7 years of work experience.
Active Secret Security Clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret level with SCI Eligibility.
Experience deploying software for DoD or IC missions.
A passion for crafting user-centric interfaces and design details.
Demonstrated strong knowledge of modern technologies such as React, TypeScript, and Python.

Responsibilities

Build Prototype Capabilities: break down use cases, build an MVP, and evolve a solution into a cohesive application.
Develop and Enhance Features: create high-performance frontend solutions for complex use cases.
System Integration: lead cross-functional engineering teams to design, build, and deploy a cohesive system.
Customer Collaboration: work with end-users and customers to translate requirements into features.
Deployment and Field Testing: travel to integration sites to deploy, test, and triage software in secure environments; travel not to exceed one week per month.
