Job summary

STR’s Mission Applications Group is seeking a Mission Engineer (Full Stack) to design, develop, and deploy software for real-world DoD missions in high-security environments. You will lead software teams, ensure quality, reliability, and performance while collaborating with government operators and customers.

You will translate complex customer requirements into scalable features, integrate APIs, and drive rapid MVP development from concept to deployment.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or related field.
• At least 7 years of software development experience.
• Experience deploying software for DoD or IC missions.
• Active Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage customer relationships.
• Strong knowledge of React, TypeScript, and Python.

Responsibilities

• Lead software teams to design, develop, and maintain mission-critical applications.
• Develop frontend features with high performance and usability.
• Integrate APIs and orchestrate cross-functional system deployments.
• Collaborate with customers to translate requirements into software features.
• Travel to integration sites for deployment and field testing (up to ~1 week per month).
