Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Tenneva is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager of Transportation and Logistics to lead transportation, fleet, and warehouse operations. You will supervise teams, coordinate routes, support regulatory compliance, and help move donated goods safely and cost‑effectively across the service area.

You will oversee dispatch, route execution, budgeting support, and continuous improvement, with a focus on minimizing disruptions and maintaining service continuity for Northeast

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field preferred.
• Two to four years of transportation, warehouse, fleet, or logistics experience.
• Leadership experience in transportation, dispatch, warehouse, or operations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of transportation, fleet, warehouse, and safety practices.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to travel throughout the Goodwill service area.
• CDL and forklift certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily transportation, warehouse, and logistics operations.
• Coordinate driver schedules, routes, and dispatch activities.
• Support fleet maintenance, inspections, and regulatory compliance.
• Supervise, coach, and develop transportation and warehouse team members.
• Coordinate inventory movement and warehouse operations.
• Monitor operational performance using routing and fleet technology.
• Support budgeting, cost control, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Respond to operational issues, accidents, and emergencies while maintaining service continuity.
