Job summary

GOODWILL OF CENTRAL FLORIDA is seeking a senior transportation and logistics leader to drive world-class practice across our network of donation sites, distribution centers, and retail stores in Florida. You will manage fleet operations, compliance, and TMS deployment while collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize routes, reduce costs, and improve delivery performance.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of transportation, logistics, or supply chain management experience.
• Experience in fleet management and route optimization.
• Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance.
• Proven leadership and ability to develop diverse teams.
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
• Ability to work independently and solve department issues.

Responsibilities

• Ensure on-time, within-budget delivery of donated goods to stores, centers, and donation locations.
• Manage inventory levels to meet project needs.
• Identify and implement ways to increase supply chain efficiency (e.g., new routes, fuel-saving measures).
• Coordinate shipping operations including driver hiring and delivery scheduling.
• Establish vendor relationships to obtain best prices for materials and services.
• Drive safety, compliance, and continuous improvement; adhere to regulations.
• Prepare budgets for shipping operations based on projected demand.
• Oversee maintenance of facilities, warehouses, docks, and storage lots.
• Lead selection, implementation, and maintenance of transportation management systems (TMS).
• Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate transportation and logistics staff.
• Create reports and perform other duties as assigned.
