Heart of Texas Goodwill Industries, Inc. is seeking an Operations Assistant Manager in Harker Heights, TX.

The role oversees movement, distribution, and storage of materials, ensuring timely deliveries to stores and vendors, while managing transportation logistics, vehicles, and warehouse planning to improve safety and efficiency. The position includes supervising staff, coordinating with the Director of Operations, and maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
• Must pass a drug screen and a criminal background check; valid driver's license and motor vehicle report required.
• Must be willing to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision; able to cooperate with others.

Responsibilities

• Logistics and Transportation Management: ensure drivers follow schedules based on contracts and store needs; manage driver times and schedules; log inspections; maintain vehicle and equipment inspections; coordinate repairs and fuel receipts; communicate needs with the Aftermarket Manager; ensure daily vehicle inspections.
• Warehouse and Inventory Management: project and maintain warehouse space; manage bale logs; coordinate purchases of materials and pallets with the Director of Operations; complete purchase orders as needed.
• Employee Management & Safety: enforce scheduled hours and safety priority; perform other tasks as assigned; supervise and evaluate staff in accordance with policies.
• Supervisory Duties: oversee direction and evaluation of assigned staff in line with laws and policies.
