Job summary

Goodwill Industries Of Central Florida is seeking a Transportation Manager to supervise all aspects of transporting donated goods to stores, DX locations and hubs in Orlando. You will monitor truck schedules, maintain fleet and service vehicles, and ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.

Responsibilities include coordinating maintenance, improving performance metrics, recruiting and supervising department staff, and implementing cost-reduction initiatives in transportation

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• 4 years logistics experience and 3 years supervisory role preferred.
• Experience working with people with disabilities and/or prior Goodwill experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance records for DOT, OSHA, and CARF standards.
• Coordinate truck schedules with Retail Management and staff to reduce costs.
• Identify industry trends and participate in relevant networks.
• Design and maintain organizational structure for transportation department; recruit and supervise staff.
• Evaluate transportation staff performance and write evaluations for CDL and Non CDL drivers.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities and customer satisfaction improvements.
• Schedule and coordinate policy for handling, shipping, and storage of donated goods.
• Coordinate pickup and delivery of external donations (hotels, cruise lines, local businesses).
• Monitor truck schedules to ensure timely delivery to designated locations.
• Manage department hours for cost-effective operation.
• Ensure safe operation and maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
• Maintain housekeeping, security and safety practices.
