Job summary

Goodwill of Southwestern Pennsylvania and North Central West Virginia is seeking a General Manager to lead day-to-day operations of an assigned site, including Outlet, Salvage, and Distribution/Warehouse functions. • Multi-function site operations leadership across two or more areas (outlet/retail, warehouse/distribution, salvage).
• People leadership and performance management in a high-volume environment.
• KPI-driven execution with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily shift execution across Outlet, Salvage, and Distribution/Warehouse to meet safety, service, throughput and quality expectations.
• Partner with AGM and supervisors to ensure a smooth plan-to-execution transition on every shift.
• Use data and observation (sales trends, peak flow, incidents, feedback) to adjust staffing and tactics for site performance.
• Maintain strong on-site presence, coach in the moment, and model pace, quality, and ownership.
• Lead distribution and salvage execution including receiving, staging, storage, replenishment, and outbound readiness.
• Own day-to-day salvage execution (sorting, baling, quality control, staging, load prep) to ensure on-time readiness.
• Provide clear, timely communication to stakeholders on constraints, performance, staffing, and readiness.
• Lead daily/weekly operating rhythms (huddles, safety moments, KPI reviews, shift handoffs) and drive accountability to results.
