Job summary

STO Building Group is seeking an MEP Assistant Superintendent to manage daily site operations, coordinate scheduling, production, and procurement of materials. You will supervise direct labor, oversee contracted work, and work with the Project Manager to maintain schedules and budgets.

This role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with experience in commercial construction and understanding of codes, blueprints, and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction fields or equivalent and 2+ years in commercial construction.
• Demonstrated knowledge of construction processes.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project site.
• Reads blueprints accurately and understands codes/design requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication; basic Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily site operations including scheduling, production, and procurement.
• Supervise direct labor and manage contracted work for timely project completion.
• Coordinate with Project Manager on schedule and use look-ahead schedules.
• Direct procurement of tools and materials to meet schedules.
• Maintain safety, quality, and housekeeping standards across the site.
• Communicate progress and issues to clients and subcontractors; resolve conflicts.
