Job summary

STO Building Group is seeking an MEP Assistant Superintendent to oversee daily job-site operations, including scheduling, production, and material procurement. You will supervise direct labor, manage contracted work, and ensure project success through coordinated planning and communication with the Project Manager and clients.

The ideal candidate has a background in engineering or construction, strong organizational and leadership skills, and the ability to read blueprints and apply building

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction-related field and at least 2 years commercial construction experience in a Mission Critical environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of construction processes.
• Has a valid driver's license and is able to travel to and from the project site.
• Reads blueprints accurately and applies building codes correctly.
• Good written and verbal communication skills; basic Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures safety, quality, and integrity in construction execution.
• Plans procedures for construction with staffing requirements and equipment knowledge.
• Coordinates with Project Manager to determine schedules and maintain look-ahead plans.
• Directs procurement of tools and materials to align with work schedules.
• Communicates construction progress and issues to clients, subs, and crews.
• Resolves complaints and problems with supervision, engineering, and suppliers.
• Inspects work to ensure conformance with specifications and schedules.
• Manages labor costs and crew assignments to optimize project performance.
