Job summary

Leidos in Washington, DC is seeking an Operations Manager to lead IT field operations at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB). You will organize and prioritize work across networking, field operations, change management, and tech refreshment to support the AFNCR ITS mission.

The role partners with the customer to execute actions that ensure mission success, oversee site operations, and may serve as acting Site Lead. On-site work at JBAB is required.

Qualifications

• BA/BS or equivalent with 12+ years of relevant experience, or a Masters with 10+ years of experience.
• Active DoD Secret clearance.
• Advanced knowledge of desktop support and helpdesk principles.
• IT support team lead experience.
• Familiar with IT support in a DoD environment.
• 8140 compliant education, training, or certification.
• Security+, CISSP, Cyber 101, etc.
• Able to work primarily on-site at JBAB.

Responsibilities

• Delivers world-class IT services to JBAB customers.
• Oversees field services, desktop support, help desk, and tech refreshment.
• Directs personnel to meet program requirements and KPIs.
• Attends and briefs daily/weekly updates for operations and intelligence.
• Ensures metrics are exceeded or met (response and ticket closure).
• Leads and reviews team work with delegated authority.
• Supports hiring, firing, promotions, and performance decisions.
• Proactively improves processes and drives annual technical refresh projects.
