Job summary

Cologix is seeking a Data Center HVAC Technician to act as the mechanical SME for critical cooling and refrigeration systems in a mission‑critical data center. This hands‑on role covers chillers, CRAC/CRAH units, in‑row cooling, cooling towers, pumps and associated controls to ensure uptime and environmental stability.

The position involves preventive maintenance, incident response, vendor coordination, and documentation to uphold safety, compliance, and operational discipline.

Qualifications

• Experience with HVAC, refrigeration, and mechanical systems in critical environments (data centers, hospitals, industrial facilities).
• Familiarity with refrigerant handling, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Operate, inspect, maintain, repair, and modify cooling and refrigeration systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and minor corrective adjustments per site standards and manufacturer requirements.
• Diagnose mechanical failures and perform corrective repairs to restore cooling performance.
• Support upgrades, installations and infrastructure changes with proper integration.
• Document maintenance activities and equipment condition accurately.
