Job summary

Cologix is seeking a Data Center Technician, HVAC to perform skilled mechanical maintenance of data center heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems across our facilities. You will inspect, repair, install and modify equipment, and support preventive maintenance programs to ensure uptime.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years HVAC experience or equivalent, can write Method of Procedures and diagnose complex systems.

Qualifications

5+ years of HVAC experience or educational equivalent.
Skilled mechanical maintenance in HVAC/refrigeration systems.
Experience calibrating systems.
Knowledge of preventive maintenance and routine servicing.
Ability to write MOPs for PM, installation and repair.
Diagnose, install, repair and maintain HVAC units.
Ability to follow written and oral instructions and work with procedures.

Responsibilities

Inspect, repair, modify and install HVAC equipment including compressors, condensers, chillers and cooling towers.
Perform regular preventive maintenance on refrigeration and air conditioning equipment.
Repair or replace defective parts and controls such as thermostats, relays and sensors.
Operate hand and power tools, welder torch and test equipment; maintain inventory.
Maintain routine records and prepare reports on activities.
Collaborate with co-workers and assist with other tasks as needed.
Help keep the facility clean and safe in all aspects of the operation.
