Job summary

Cologix is hiring a Data Center HVAC Technician to serve as the mechanical SME for critical cooling in a data center environment. You will operate, maintain, repair, and install mechanical systems across chillers, CRAC/CRAH units, in-row cooling, and cooling towers to support 24x7 uptime.

The role requires hands-on ownership, safety discipline, and coordination with vendors. Shift: 2nd Shift, Wed-Sat 2pm-12am, with strong emphasis on documentation and reliability.

Qualifications

• HVAC certification or equivalent trade qualification required.
• 5+ years of experience working with HVAC, refrigeration, or mechanical systems in mission-critical environments.
• Strong knowledge of chillers, CRAC/CRAH units, pumps, valves, cooling towers, compressors, and controls.
• Experience with preventive maintenance, corrective repair, and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with refrigerant handling, environmental regulations, and mechanical safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate, inspect, maintain, repair, and modify critical cooling and refrigeration systems in the data center environment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and minor corrective adjustments on HVAC and mechanical systems per site standards and manufacturer requirements.
• Diagnose mechanical failures and perform repairs to restore cooling performance.
• Support upgrades, installations, and changes while ensuring integration with existing systems.
• Document maintenance activities and equipment conditions with accuracy and discipline.
