Job summary

Cologix is seeking a Data Center HVAC Technician to act as the mechanical subject matter expert for critical cooling and refrigeration systems in a mission-critical data center environment. You will own operation, preventive maintenance, and repairs to protect uptime and environmental stability.

This hands-on role covers chillers, CRAC/CRAH, in-row cooling, towers, pumps, valves, and controls to ensure safe, 24x7 operations. The position is on-site with a 2nd shift schedule (Wed-Sat 2pm-12am).

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with HVAC, refrigeration, or mechanical systems in mission-critical environments.
• Strong knowledge of chillers, CRAC/CRAH units, pumps, valves, cooling towers, compressors and related controls.
• Experience with preventive maintenance, corrective repair, and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with refrigerant handling, environmental regulations, and safety standards.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, specifications and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Operate, inspect, maintain, repair and modify critical cooling and refrigeration systems in a data center.
• Perform preventive maintenance and minor corrective adjustments per site standards and manufacturer requirements.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs to restore safe, stable cooling performance.
• Support mechanical upgrades, installations and changes with proper integration.
• Document maintenance activities, conditions and findings with accuracy.
