Job summary

Cologix in Columbus, OH seeks a Data Center Technician, HVAC to perform skilled maintenance on data center cooling systems, including inspection, repair, installation and alteration of HVAC/R equipment. You will work to ensure reliability of critical facilities.

You will conduct preventive maintenance, calibrate systems, write MOPs, and support operations staff while contributing to uptime and safety in a dynamic data center environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of HVAC experience or educational equivalent.
• Ability to perform skilled mechanical maintenance duties in inspection, repair, installation and alteration of HVAC/R systems.
• Experience calibrating systems.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance and routine servicing of equipment.
• Ability to write Method of Procedures (MOPs) for Preventative Maintenance, installation, and repair activities.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, modify and install HVAC equipment including refrigeration and air conditioning components.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance inspections and adjust or repair as needed.
• Repair or replace defective parts and controls, including thermostats and sensors.
• Operate hand and power tools, welder torch, vacuum pump and test equipment; maintain inventory.
• Maintain routine records and prepare reports; assist coworkers as needed.
