Job summary

Modine Manufacturing Company is seeking an HVAC Data Center Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair the cooling infrastructure supporting data centers. This role ensures reliable operation of CRAC/CRAH units, chillers, and pumps to protect critical IT equipment.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, rapid response to failures, and collaboration with management during root-cause analyses. Travel is expected 0-25% with on-call duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• EPA Section 608 Certification required.
• 2+ years of commercial or industrial HVAC experience.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, piping schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Familiarity with BMS/BAS systems for monitoring and control.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and on-call duty.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including CRAC/CRAH units, Airewall's, chillers, condensers, & pumps.
• Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) per schedule to ensure reliable system performance.
• Replace filters and other mechanical components as needed.
• Respond quickly to mechanical equipment failures or temperature excursions to protect IT assets.
• Escalate critical events to management and assist in root cause analysis after incidents.
