Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Civil Engineer specializing in Mission Critical Data Center projects within the Community Development Group. You will design private civil site plans, coordinate with partners, and produce construction documents for nationwide Data Center programs.

You will collaborate with a core design team, manage design tasks, and ensure quality across multiple regions. A PE is required or obtainable within 6 months, with 5+ years of experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Licensed Professional Engineer or eligibility to obtain within 6 months.
• Minimum 5 years of civil project experience in design and deliverables.
• Experience with data centers or mission-critical facilities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil site design and layout, grading, and utility design.
• Prepare reports, construction documents, and cost opinions.
• Coordinate with PMs, designers, and external consultants.
• Perform calculations using standard software and review design details.
• Manage scope, budget, staffing, and scheduling with senior staff.
• Participate in constructability reviews and QA/QC on projects.
