Switch is seeking a Mission Control Technician I to monitor real-time infrastructure and coordinate incident response in a 24/7 environment. You will act as the primary contact for alerts, investigate events, and document resolution steps to protect uptime and customer trust.

Responsibilities include triaging alarms, coordinating with internal teams and vendors, and following security policies. A strong emphasis on clear communication and thorough documentation is required.

Qualifikationen

• 2+ years in IT operations, network ops or a similar technical support role.
• Experience monitoring systems, investigating alerts, and managing incidents through resolution.
• Foundational understanding of network topologies and the OSI model.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues across multiple infrastructure domains.
• Experience using ticketing and monitoring tools.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 operations environment.
• CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+ or comparable certifications.
• Willingness to obtain OSHA 10 certification within six months.

Aufgaben

• Monitor critical infrastructure systems including power, cooling, security, safety, and network connectivity.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for alerts, events, and incident investigations during assigned shifts.
• Interpret alarms, diagnose issues, initiate remediation, and upscale when needed.
• Create, update, and close incident tickets with accurate timelines and documentation.
• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and network carriers to resolve incidents.
• Perform approved configuration tasks following documented instructions and security policies.
• Produce clear incident summaries and post-event reports.
• Provide timely, professional support to customers during incidents.
• Follow defined escalation, notification, and communication procedures.
• Work scheduled shifts, including nights, weekends, and rotations as required.
