Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Mission Assurance Engineer (Project Engineer/Sr. Project Engineer – Multi-Disciplinary Engineering) to deliver mission assurance and supply chain expertise for Enterprise Engineering in the Systems Engineering & Launch Division. The role is 100% on-site in Chantilly, VA and requires U.S.

citizenship for security clearance. Minimum 8+ years in related engineering fields; a Bachelor's degree or higher; experience with government programs and national security

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in engineering, sciences, mathematics, or an appropriate technical discipline.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience for Project Engineer – Multi-Disciplinary Engineering; more for Senior role.
  • Experience implementing ground/space supply chain policy and artifact development for government programs.
  • Experience with systems engineering approaches to provide sound technical solutions to mission systems.
  • Current TS/SSBI/SCI clearance with polygraph; U.S. citizenship required for security clearance.
  • Travel ~15% of time.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support to the customer's Systems Engineering Directorate's Mission Assurance Executive (MAE).
  • Identify and mitigate emerging mission assurance risks with coordination between government programs and industry.
  • Develop and monitor internal/external mitigation projects to address verification maturities and supply chain policy.
