Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to lead architecture and requirements for rapid‑development programs including missiles and launch platforms. This onsite role requires U.S.

citizenship and a Secret security clearance; relocation assistance is available. You will define subsystems, verify through MBSE with Cameo, collaborate with Software, Hardware, Safety, Quality, and Manufacturing, act as Responsible Engineering Authority, oversee flight test activities, and support

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with SMEs, CEs, LSEs, TAs, IPTLs, REAs to inform design decisions.
• Proficiency with MBSE tools such as Cameo to define, decompose, or verify requirements.
• Experience in at least two areas of the System‑V model.
• Strong written and oral communications and technical writing.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
• Advanced degree and DoD familiarity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage systems architecture, requirements, interface definitions, and description documents using Cameo.
• Define and decompose complex subsystems, develop verification approaches, and oversee verification artifacts.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Software, Hardware, Safety, Reliability, Quality, Manufacturing) and the Office of the Chief.
• Act as Responsible Engineering Authority for procured items, support flight test activities, telemetry analysis, and test reporting.
• Apply statistical process control assessments in manufacturing and hardware verification of missile sections and launch platforms.
• Perform peer reviews and formally release CDRLs and Technical Data Package documents.
