Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer for the SETC organization in Tucson, AZ. You will lead and coach multi-disciplinary teams to ensure system requirements are robust and verifiable throughout the lifecycle of a missile-like defense system.

You will write and maintain requirements, support design and verification, and guide integration activities on-site at the Tucson campus. Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in Systems Engineering and MBSE/DOORS experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 8+ years in Systems Engineering.
• Experience in developing and refining CONOPS, system architecture, and requirements.
• Experience with system requirements specs and requirements management.
• Verification and qualification testing experience.
• Preferred: Master’s/PhD in Engineering, CS, Math or Physics.
• MBSE, DOORS and/or cPDM experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Update and improve requirements documentation for development and production.
• Support design and system verification testing.
• Provide SE guidance during integration and test.
• Support system performance analysis and test activities.
• Mentor engineers and coordinate with SMEs.
• Conduct trade studies and present results to customers.
• Assist in test equipment software integration and verification.
