Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) in Huntsville, Alabama is seeking a Software Developer with Modeling, Simulation and Analysis experience to join our team and contribute to critical defense initiatives.

You will design and implement software, build and maintain models of orbital dynamics and sensor performance, run simulations, analyze results, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to optimize interceptor concepts in a DoD environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline; education accepted in lieu of degree.
9 years of software development experience in aerospace/defense domains.
Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills to convey technical concepts.
Active Secret Clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

Develop software, modeling, simulation, and analysis techniques for Space-Based Interceptor programs.
Design and maintain models of orbital dynamics, sensor performance, and threat scenarios.
Perform system-level assessments to optimize interceptor performance.
Use simulation tools and ensure integration with real-time data.
Support HWIL, SWIL, and digital integration for testing and verification.
Ensure compliance with DoD regulations, policies, and security standards.
