Job summary

nou Systems, Inc. in Huntsville, AL, is seeking a Missile Defense Modeling & Simulation VV&A Engineer to join our Engineering Services Division.

You will help optimize MDS models and simulations, perform VV&A activities, and develop accreditation plans in support of MDA verification efforts. The role requires a STEM bachelor’s, 7+ years on missile defense or DoD programs, and the ability to obtain an active Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field
• 7+ years of missile defense-related or DoD program experience
• Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Provide M&S accreditation recommendations to the Accreditation Authority by performing M&S VV&A to assess MDS effectiveness and interoperability for MDA intended uses.
• Develop MDS M&S V&V plans/reports and accreditation plans/reports.
• Conduct SFVE analysis and coordinate release of SFVE event analysis reports to support validation of MDS integrated system M&S in HWIL and digital environments.
• Update and/or author and staff for approval: documents, studies, assessments, and reports as may be required, including V&V Reports and Accreditation Reports.
• Perform/assess model design verification to substantiate that the M&S design accurately reflects the validated concept and associated requirements.
• Document M&S capabilities, limitations, assumptions and risk/impact that affect M&S intended use and test objectives; identify mitigation strategies for each limitation.
• Support the Director, System Verification, in the roles of MDA Verification and Validation (V&V) Agent and Accreditation Agent.
