Job summary

The Navy Region Naval District Washington FFR is seeking an Information Technology Specialist to lead technical support and training for CNIC MIS and POS systems across the NDW region. You will assist Windows clients and servers, manage AD, WSUS, and security, and coordinate hardware/software upgrades.

The role requires strong problem solving, customer service, and the ability to work across multiple installations. A degree in CS/IT or comparable experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; may substitute 3 years general experience and 1 year specific experience.
• Knowledge of Windows architectures including server/workstation and basic Citrix ICA.
• Familiar with LAN/WAN/VPN and firewall security; strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to Windows clients and servers; assist with software/hardware installations and upgrades.
• Assist MIS/PO S/Catering/Payroll/CYMS/Timekeeping systems across NDW region; train front-line staff.
• Maintain Active Directory, WSUS, backups, and system security; coordinate with supervisors on issues.
