Job summary

Naval District Washington (NDW) (NAF) is seeking an Information Technology Specialist to lead technical support and training for CNIC MIS, POS, and CYMS across the NDW region, based at Dahlgren, VA. The role involves hands-on maintenance, AD management, and system upgrades.

The position requires provision of end-user support for 400+ users, WSUS/anti-virus administration, and ensuring DoD-compliant configurations. Some travel is expected; employment is permanent and full-time.

Qualifications

• Experience providing technical support for Windows-based workstations and servers.
• Knowledge of AD, user provisioning, and group policies.
• Familiarity with CNIC MIS/POS/Catering/Payroll systems and CYMS is desirable.
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software in a networked environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to Windows clients and servers and may develop software selections.
• Assist MIS team with CNIC MIS/POS/CYMS implementations and maintenance.
• Train frontline staff on hardware and software used in MIS/POS/Business Systems and CYMS.
• Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems and software; maintain network infrastructure and peripherals.
