Job summary

Flanigan’s Enterprises is seeking friendly servers to join our team. You will welcome guests, take orders, and deliver meals with accuracy and warmth. You will handle payments, maintain table appearance, and stay knowledgeable about current promos to guide guests.

The role requires physical stamina, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and compliance with Florida safety and vendor certifications. A team-oriented, upbeat attitude is essential for success in our busy dining rooms.

Qualifications

• Ability to deliver friendly, accurate service in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to read and write handwritten guest checks and notes.
• Must complete Florida Responsible Vendor program and food safety certification.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety and sanitation policies and training.
• Support team with table appearance and beverage/service runs.
• Know menu items and promotions; answer guest questions clearly.
• Enter orders into POS accurately and promptly.
• Deliver orders from kitchen/bar to guests in a timely manner.
• Assess guest demeanor and escalate to a Manager when needed.
• Handle payments and give correct change using POS efficiently.
• Perform opening/closing duties and side work.

Overview

At Flanigan’s, we strive to bring together warm, caring, friendly, outgoing people, who find joy in serving others. Our servers play a vital role in every meal – welcoming and guiding, taking orders and serving, and attending to details.

Responsibilities

• Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
• Support fellow employees in maintaining table appearance, food/drink running, etc. as needed
• Be knowledgeable regarding Food & Beverage menus and items, current food and/or drink promotions and specials, and answer guests’ questions verbally and clearly
• Accurately write down guests’ orders and enter into POS system, in a timely manner
• Retrieve food or drink orders from kitchen or bar area, and deliver them to guests in a timely manner
• Ability to assess guests’ demeanor and identify when to summon a Manager
• Collect guests’ payments (credit cards, cash, or gift cards only), ensure transactions are correct using POS efficiently, calculate and deliver correct change to guests in a timely manner
• Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, assigned sidework
• Restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guests

Qualifications

• Can physically stand/walk 100% of shift
• Can reach, bend, stoop frequently
• Able to deliver plates, and clear tables of plates and glasses, which may require lifting up to 50 lbs
• Ability to speak, read and write English
• Ability to read and write handwritten guest checks, notes, etc
• Complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
• Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
