Job summary

Flanigan’s in Florida is seeking friendly servers to welcome guests, take orders, and deliver meals with care. You will ensure accurate orders via POS, handle payments, and assist during busy periods to keep our dining room running smoothly.

Candidates should be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and possess English reading/writing skills. Florida Responsible Vendor and food safety certifications are required. Five-day work weeks and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Follows safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures.
• Support teammates in maintaining table appearance and service flow.
• Know menu items and promotions; answer guests' questions clearly.
• Accurately take and enter orders into the POS promptly.
• Deliver orders to guests in a timely manner and collect payments.
• Assist with shift changes and side work as needed.
• Restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guests.

Overview

At Flanigan’s, we strive to bring together warm, caring, friendly, outgoing people, who find joy in serving others. Our servers play a vital role in every meal – welcoming and guiding, taking orders and serving, and attending to details.

Responsibilities

• Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
• Support fellow employees in maintaining table appearance, food/drink running, etc. as needed
• Be knowledgeable regarding Food & Beverage menus and items, current food and/or drink promotions and specials, and answer guests’ questions verbally and clearly
• Accurately write down guests’ orders and enter into POS system, in a timely manner
• Retrieve food or drink orders from kitchen or bar area, and deliver them to guests in a timely manner
• Ability to assess guests’ demeanor and identify when to summon a Manager
• Collect guests’ payments (credit cards, cash, or gift cards only), ensure transactions are correct using POS efficiently, calculate and deliver correct change to guests in a timely manner
• Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, assigned sidework
• Restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guests

Qualifications

• Can physically stand/walk 100% of shift
• Can reach, bend, stoop frequently
• Able to deliver plates, and clear tables of plates and glasses, which may require lifting up to 50 lbs
• Ability to speak, read and write English
• Ability to read and write handwritten guest checks, notes, etc
• Complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
• Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
