Job summary

Flanigan’s Enterprises is seeking friendly servers to warmly welcome guests, take orders, and deliver meals with attention to detail.

Responsibilities include following safety policies, delivering orders via POS, maintaining dining areas, and providing accurate change and payments. Candidates must speak English, be able to stand for shifts, and comply with Florida food safety rules. This position offers weekend shifts and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand/walk for entire shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
• Excellent English reading/writing and spoken communication.
• Accurate cash handling and payment processing.
• Experience with POS systems and guest billing.
• Strong customer service and guest-relations skills.
• Familiarity with Florida food-safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and guide to seating when needed.
• Take accurate food and drink orders and enter into POS promptly.
• Deliver orders from kitchen/bar to tables in a timely manner.
• Handle guest payments and ensure correct change.
• Maintain cleanliness and restock as needed.
• Assist team and manager to ensure smooth service.

Overview

At Flanigan’s, we strive to bring together warm, caring, friendly, outgoing people, who find joy in serving others. Our servers play a vital role in every meal – welcoming and guiding, taking orders and serving, and attending to details.

Responsibilities

• Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
• Support fellow employees in maintaining table appearance, food/drink running, etc. as needed
• Be knowledgeable regarding Food & Beverage menus and items, current food and/or drink promotions and specials, and answer guests’ questions verbally and clearly
• Accurately write down guests’ orders and enter into POS system, in a timely manner
• Retrieve food or drink orders from kitchen or bar area, and deliver them to guests in a timely manner
• Ability to assess guests’ demeanor and identify when to summon a Manager
• Collect guests’ payments (credit cards, cash, or gift cards only), ensure transactions are correct using POS efficiently, calculate and deliver correct change to guests in a timely manner
• Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, assigned sidework
• Restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guests

Qualifications

• Can physically stand/walk 100% of shift
• Can reach, bend, stoop frequently
• Able to deliver plates, and clear tables of plates and glasses, which may require lifting up to 50 lbs
• Ability to speak, read and write English
• Ability to read and write handwritten guest checks, notes, etc
• Complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
• Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
