Job summary

Flanigan’s Enterprises is seeking a friendly server to welcome guests, take orders, and deliver food and beverages in a fast-paced dining environment. You will work with a team to ensure accuracy, prompt service, and guest satisfaction throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• Complete Florida Responsible Vendor program and food safety certification.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and take orders accurately, entering them into the POS.
• Deliver food and beverages promptly and check back with guests.
• Handle payments and make correct change.
• Maintain cleanliness and restock as needed.
• Assist team and managers to ensure smooth service.

Overview

Responsibilities

• Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
• Support fellow employees in maintaining table appearance, food/drink running, etc. as needed
• Be knowledgeable regarding Food & Beverage menus and items, current food and/or drink promotions and specials, and answer guests’ questions verbally and clearly
• Accurately write down guests’ orders and enter into POS system, in a timely manner
• Retrieve food or drink orders from kitchen or bar area, and deliver them to guests in a timely manner
• Ability to assess guests’ demeanor and identify when to summon a Manager
• Collect guests’ payments (credit cards, cash, or gift cards only), ensure transactions are correct using POS efficiently, calculate and deliver correct change to guests in a timely manner
• Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, assigned sidework
• Restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guests

Qualifications

• Can physically stand/walk 100% of shift
• Can reach, bend, stoop frequently
• Able to deliver plates, and clear tables of plates and glasses, which may require lifting up to 50 lbs
• Ability to speak, read and write English
• Ability to read and write handwritten guest checks, notes, etc
• Complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
• Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
