Job summary

Flanigan's in Florida is seeking a full-time dishwasher to help keep our kitchens spotless and compliant with safety standards. You will wash dishware, maintain sanitization, and support opening and closing duties to ensure a smooth operation.

Responsibilities include restocking, sanitizing surfaces, running the dish machine, and assisting with basic prep while following Florida food safety guidelines. Teamwork and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Must complete and pass Florida food safety certification.
• Ability to stand 100% of shift.
• Lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly.
• Work in damp/high temperature environment.

• Washes and sanitizes plateware, glassware, silverware, pots and pans.
• Cleans throughout shift and maintains kitchen cleanliness.
• Performs opening/closing duties and basic prep work.
• Prepares and maintains the dish machine and related tasks.

You’re a key piece of the puzzle, taking great care to make sure every single thing is cleaned and sanitized to the highest of standards.

Responsibilities

• Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
• Washes and provides clean and sanitized plateware, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, kitchen utensils using Flanigan’s sanitation policies
• Cleans and sanitizes throughout shift
• Maintain kitchen area cleanliness ; sweeps, mops, removes debris from floor, etc
• Perform assigned prep work, opening/closing duties, beautification duties
• Prepares and maintains dish machine at opening, during business hours, and at closing

Qualifications

• Can physically stand/walk 100 % of shift
• Can reach, bend, stoop
• Can immerse hands in water frequently, diluted with chemical solutions
• Ability to speak, read and write English
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. several times per shift, lift these heavy loads to high shelves, coolers, freezers
• Work in damp, high temperature environment indoors and minimally outdoors
• Work safely with hot plates, pots, pans
• Work safely with sharp knives and utensils
• Support fellow employees as needed
• Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
