Job summary

Flanigan’s is seeking a dedicated dishwasher to keep dishware, cookware, and utensils clean and sanitized. You will follow safety policies, assist with opening/closing duties, and support the kitchen team in a fast-paced environment.

You must be able to stand 100% of shift, lift up to 50 lbs, and communicate in English. Experience isn’t required, but a willingness to learn and pass a food safety certification is essential. Benefits include health insurance, paid vacation, and a 401(k).

You’re a key piece of the puzzle, taking great care to make sure every single thing is cleaned and sanitized to the highest of standards.

Responsibilities

• Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
• Washes and provides clean and sanitized plateware, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, kitchen utensils using Flanigan’s sanitation policies
• Cleans and sanitizes throughout shift
• Maintain kitchen area cleanliness ; sweeps, mops, removes debris from floor, etc
• Perform assigned prep work, opening/closing duties, beautification duties
• Prepares and maintains dish machine at opening, during business hours, and at closing

Qualifications

• Can physically stand/walk 100 % of shift
• Can reach, bend, stoop
• Can immerse hands in water frequently, diluted with chemical solutions
• Ability to speak, read and write English
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. several times per shift, lift these heavy loads to high shelves, coolers, freezers
• Work in damp, high temperature environment indoors and minimally outdoors
• Work safely with hot plates, pots, pans
• Work safely with sharp knives and utensils
• Support fellow employees as needed
• Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
