Job summary

Flanigan’s Enterprises is hiring a dishwasher to keep our kitchens sparkling and compliant with sanitation standards. You will wash, sanitize, and provide clean dishware and utensils while supporting the opening, mid-shift, and closing duties.

Ideal candidates can stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and speak/read/write English. A Florida food safety certification is required or pursued upon hire. Competitive benefits and advancement opportunities are offered.

Responsibilities

• Washes and sanitizes plateware, glassware, and utensils according to policies.
• Cleans throughout shift and maintains kitchen cleanliness (sweeping/mopping).
• Performs opening/closing duties and prep work as assigned.
• Maintains dish machine operation during shift.

Overview

You’re a key piece of the puzzle, taking great care to make sure every single thing is cleaned and sanitized to the highest of standards.

Responsibilities

• Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
• Washes and provides clean and sanitized plateware, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, kitchen utensils using Flanigan’s sanitation policies
• Cleans and sanitizes throughout shift
• Maintain kitchen area cleanliness ; sweeps, mops, removes debris from floor, etc
• Perform assigned prep work, opening/closing duties, beautification duties
• Prepares and maintains dish machine at opening, during business hours, and at closing

Qualifications

• Can physically stand/walk 100 % of shift
• Can reach, bend, stoop
• Can immerse hands in water frequently, diluted with chemical solutions
• Ability to speak, read and write English
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. several times per shift, lift these heavy loads to high shelves, coolers, freezers
• Work in damp, high temperature environment indoors and minimally outdoors
• Work safely with hot plates, pots, pans
• Work safely with sharp knives and utensils
• Support fellow employees as needed
• Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
