Job summary

Flanigan’s in Surfside, FL, is seeking a dedicated dishwasher to keep plateware, glassware and utensils spotless while upholding high sanitation standards.

You will follow safety policies, maintain a clean workspace, and assist with opening, service, and closing duties in a fast-paced kitchen.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand 100% of shift.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must pass food safety certification program.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishware, glassware, pots, and utensils according to sanitation policies.
• Clean and sanitize throughout shift to maintain a spotless environment.
• Maintain kitchen area cleanliness; sweep, mop, and remove debris.
• Perform assigned prep work, opening/closing duties, and beautification tasks.
• Prepare and operate the dish machine during opening, service, and closing.

Responsibilities

• Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training


• Washes and provides clean and sanitized plateware, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, kitchen utensils using Flanigan’s sanitation policies


• Cleans and sanitizes throughout shift


• Maintain kitchen area cleanliness ; sweeps, mops, removes debris from floor, etc


• Perform assigned prep work, opening/closing duties, beautification duties


• Prepares and maintains dish machine at opening, during business hours, and at closing

Qualifications

• Can physically stand/walk 100 % of shift


• Can reach, bend, stoop


• Can immerse hands in water frequently, diluted with chemical solutions


• Ability to speak, read and write English


• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. several times per shift, lift these heavy loads to high shelves, coolers, freezers


• Work in damp, high temperature environment indoors and minimally outdoors


• Work safely with hot plates, pots, pans


• Work safely with sharp knives and utensils


• Support fellow employees as needed


• Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
